Light, Remembered
by Adam Bokesch

Nearly everyone wrestles with sleep—but few translate that struggle into art as deeply as Nashville-based composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Adam Bokesch. On October 16th, he releases Light, Remembered, a profoundly personal ambient album inspired by his own battles with insomnia and the fragile relationship between creativity and rest. As millions already turn daily to Bokesch’s catalog of sleep and meditation music, Light, Remembered stands apart: a work that is both intimate and universal, weaving personal storytelling with cultural reflection. At its core, the album examines society’s overstimulated pace, and the healing potential of sleep—not only for health, but for creativity, transformation, and self-renewal.

“This project reflects my own cycles of sleeplessness and inspiration,” says Bokesch. “It’s about slowing down in a world that rarely allows it, and finding art, reflection, and healing in the liminal space between waking and dreaming.”

Mixed in Dolby Atmos, "Light, Remembered" places listeners within a fully immersive sound environment that mirrors the drifting, half-awake state between night and dawn. Textures of piano, synthesizers, strings, and horns envelop the listener, creating a sonic landscape that feels at once dreamlike and deeply grounding.

Portrait of Adam Bokesch emerging from purple smoke

Adam Bokesch has spent nearly two decades shaping sound across genres and mediums. Once recognized as an in-demand drummer touring with acts like Milktooth and The Daybreaks, and engineering for artists including Emily West, Chely Wright, Jon McLaughlin, and Gabe Dixon, his work later expanded into production and composition for film, television, and major brands such as Microsoft, ESPN, Sony, and Tesla.

In 2020, as the pandemic reshaped global rhythms, Bokesch turned fully toward his quiet passion: wellness and ambient music. His catalog of sleep compositions, meditation soundscapes, and immersive natural recordings has since become a global resource for restoration, balance, and peace. Alongside this body of work, Bokesch continues to create under his own name, pushing ambient music into new realms of personal expression, cultural commentary, and immersive artistry.

With Light, Remembered, Bokesch cements his reputation as a unique voice in contemporary ambient music—one whose work exists at the intersection of art and healing, inviting listeners into a space where music becomes both a mirror and a remedy.
